Stewartville One Act Play (SOAP) is a time-honored tradition at Stewartville Public Schools. Open to students in grades 7-12, One Act takes a short play (maximum time limit of 35 minutes) on the road in competition with other area schools. Chosen plays each year can be serious or comedic, and students are challenged to make the most of their roles and assignments given fewer lines and responsibilities, allowing them to enhance their performances and take their acting and technical abilities to new levels of proficiency.
Auditions take place each year at the end of November, with rehearsals running from the beginning of December until competition weekends begin toward the end of January.
One Act Director is TBD.
