Middle School Student Council Mission Statement: The purpose of the Student Council is to give students an opportunity to develop leadership by organizing and carrying out school activities and service projects. In addition to planning events that contribute to school spirit and community welfare, the student council is the voice of the student body. They help share student ideas, interests and concerns with the school wide community.
Any student that is interested in leadership, organizational behavior, event planning, or becoming more involved in the school is welcome to become involved in Student Council.
Middle School Student Council Activities: 6th-8th graders are involved in making Stewartville Middle School the best place for students. Some of the activities MS Student Council does for the student body include:
- Homecoming Pepfest
- Homecoming Hot Dog Sales - Meal Deal sold after the parade
- Homecoming T-Shirt Sales
- Pennies for Patients - collect money from Homerooms to donate to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
- Turkey Bingo
